I am a sucker for Lifetime and Hallmark channel movies in general. So at Christmas time when they show non stop Christmas movies I am in my glory. Our DVR is at 98% capacity - filled with them.
Every evening for the past week as soon as we finished dinner I would lock myself in my bedroom and wrap presents while watching one sappy Christmas movie after another. When I was done wrapping for the night I would crawl under the covers and watch some more.
There is just something about the inevitable sadness of the movie eventually leading to the moment when the Christmas spirit works its magic and everyone lives happily ever after that gets me every time. I tear up and get goosebumps and just feel good inside. I can't help but feel the Christmas spirit even though I know it's just a silly made for TV movie. Call me a sentimental fool - but I always say if the shoe fits, buy it in multiple colors!
The question now is, do I erase the unwatched ones and wait until next year to start over? Or do I just keep on watching until I run out of movies?
Any advice?
